Tamilong 20 is a non-steroidal drug produced by Hab Pharmaceuticals and Research Ltd. It’s main active ingredient is Tamoxifen Citrate (commonly called Nolvadex). This drug belongs to a class of anti-estrogens called Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulators or SERMs, which means it blocks the action of estrogen by binding to estrogen receptors in the body. This property of Tamoxifen has been found useful in medicine to stop estrogen causing breast cancer cells to grow in women. The drug has also been found to be useful for bodybuilders as a post-cycle therapy drug after an anabolic steroid cycle.

Effects of Tamoxifen

Post-Cycle Therapy (PCT) is an essential process after the use of any anabolic steroids. If you do not carry out PCT, your natural testosterone production may not be restored and you may not keep the gains you’ve received from the steroid cycle. Therefore, a drug such as Tamoxifen is required to restore testosterone production and maintain gains.

Due to Tamoxifen’s anti-estrogenic effects, it allows you to eliminate the side effects associated with aromatization (the conversion of testosterone to estrogen), such as gynecomastia. The drug also quickly restores the hypothalamus-pituitary-testicular axis.

Tamoxifen should not be used for steroid cycles that include Trenbolones, Nandrolones or Oxymetholone as there is a risk of progestin side effects. Clomid can be used as an alternative.

The use of Tamoxifen for PCT is usually started the day after the steroid cycle has finished. However, if steroids with long esters were used in the cycle, then Tamoxifen should be started after the period of action of that steroid has ended. The daily dose of Tamoxifen is usually 20mg (1 tablet).
